REKA app for iPhone and iPad

The REKA app works hand in hand with REKA Health’s portable medical devices for effortless recording and uploading of patients’ medical data on the go. Armed with the app, patients can conveniently use their smartphones to transfer their data to REKA Health’s cloud-based platform, giving their physicians easy remote access to their most updated health records.

For instance, patients experiencing symptoms of arrhythmia can make use of REKA Health’s E100 cardiac event monitor to record an ECG reading. They then simply need to connect the E100 to their smartphone with the REKA app installed. The app will automatically detect the device and transfer the stored data to REKA Health’s cloud platform in a matter of minutes.

Once the transfer is completed, an alert will be sent to the registered physician, who can then review the data for any cardiac irregularities and provide feedback. Patients will enjoy greater peace of mind as they have the assurance that they can capture any cardiac events as and when they occur and send the records to their physician for immediate evaluation.

All patient data stored on REKA Health’s cloud platform is HIPAA compliant and securely protected by password. In addition, the data is transferred without any need for manual entry, thus eliminating the risk of errors in data entry or computation.

The app also incorporates a useful Help function. If users experience problems at any time while using the app, they can use the Help function to refer to the user manual or send an email to REKA Health’s technical support team with the application log and debug log included.

About REKA E100

The REKA E100 is an FDA cleared (510(k)) and CE certified (MDD 93/42/EEC) portable, personal electrocardiograph (ECG) measuring device that can be used for cardiac monitoring at home. You can record your ECG by simply placing your thumbs on the E100. This can later be securely uploaded using your smartphone or computer to REKA Cloud and your healthcare provider will be able to login to our Cloud Service to review your ECG records. The E100 is ideal for patients who may be at risk of experiencing transient cardiac events like Arrhythmia or anyone who is concerned about their heart function and rhythm as they go about their daily life, since the patient can take records whenever he or she feels any physical symptoms potentially indicative of a cardiac event and get those records reviewed by a medical professional.

REKA App’s User Guide

1. Record your ECGs with your E100. Refer to the E100 user manual for details on how to operate the E100.
2. Turn on and unlock your iPhone or iPad.
3. Connect the E100 to the iPhone or iPad using the data cable provided.
4. Wait for the REKA App to auto-launch or launch the REKA App manually, and the E100 will start transferring the ECG records to the iPhone or iPad. During the data transfer, the E100 start button orange light will be lit.
5. Once all the files have been transferred to the iPhone or iPad, the E100 start button blue light will be lit.
6. When all the data has been uploaded to REKA Cloud, the App will display the message “Uploading Completed”.
Note: you need to have an active 3G or WiFi Internet connection to upload the data to the server.
